	~Story

The world is in grave danger, a mysterious alien fighter has appeared on earth with the intentions of batteling for control of the planet. A number of fighters have risen to the challenge of facing off against this unknown foe. Will the earth be safe?

	~About

One of the main features in Samurai Mk2 is the number of playable characters. Each character has his/her/its own stats in 4 categories; Health, speed, defence, power. The 4 virtues of the Samurai. As well as stats each player has 2 special moves which all have stat changing abilities. Unlike the old Samurai (released 2003) a strategic element has now been implimented.

	~BATTLE FIGHT!

The new way of fighting resembles an RPG battle system; you have 6 options

	Attack: Attack your opponent
Special 1: The first special move
Special 2: The second special move
Wait: Wait for your next turn, potentially a bad move to make? Makes turn come around twice as fast
Defend: Halves any damage recieved whilst defending
Move: Move player to either ground or air. Players can only attack while level with opponent, and vice versa

  The 4 stats are

Health: How much damage you can take until you die
Power: How much damage your attack does
Speed: How fast your turn comes around
Defence: Helps take away damage recieved

The game uses an ATB (Active Time Battle) battle system. A players speed determines how fast the turn comes around. All stats are flexible and change depending on what special moves are used.

	~REACTION FIGHT!

Just press CTRL (or configure the controls by pressing CTRL+Y) to attack or Shift to dodge when the flashing sign appears. Player 2 keys need to be set up (CTRL+Y). Pressing Attack too many times results in a temporary ban and you cannot attack until the sign stops flashing. So be careful!

	~Important things t' know

*Whilst in a battle, pressing the Help menu button>Help Box displays a special help box explaining how to fight
*In the Options menu you can change the windows resolution, or just drag the corners of the screen
*Watch out for PP! and i dont mean what dogs do in streets, every special attack lowers PP and when PP is 0 no specials can be performed. Using Wait when its your turn adds to PP. It's aaaall about strategy.

	~Other Features and new things

-Special moves are very cool i think they help with the new Samurai gameplay
-Time based events! Try it; some characters fight better at night than at day, and some may be better at winter or on certain days.
-Different resolutions. nice for the folk with giant resolutions who cant manage to see the wee pixels.
-Tournament rooster. more bug free than the previous Samurai
-Reaction Mode is in there too, the original game. For those who want the 'old days' back again.

	~Controls

Controls are very simple, unlike the previous Samurai game, reactions are no longer required and the direction pads are now included. Up, Down, Left, Right and CTRL (Player 1, press CTRL+Y to change controls) control the menus.

	~Why?

A lot of you are probably asking why make a game like this? Well I made the original Samurai (2003) after playing Kirby Superstar on the Super Nintendo and the Samurai minigame got me interested, so I made a brand spanking new version with unlockables, different modes etc.. using Multimedia Fusion. Alas! it was not to be. You either hated it or loved it. The gameplay was quite frustrating requiring split second reactions... or like many, you just plugged in an autofire controller!
Just after the release I got a load of comments on how it wasnt playing right, but a lot of good comments about the menus ^_^... so! Samurai Mk2 begun.
Originally this had beautiful looking special moves but I never finished that. So i stole half the engine, threw it back in with the old Samurai and et voila!! Samurai Mk1.5!
It may not have perfect gameplay but really im not bothered, i loved every second of this quick remake! And its quite good for multiplayers too.

the real Samurai Mk2 with all its effects and stuff will probably never be finished but hey, at least enjoy this ^_~

And it may be abstract and a little bit arty but its what i (and Caz) wanted!

THANKS TO cazza and tom for the backgrounds, Newklear for taking me in and the members of Klikforever! And all the musicians whose wonderful songs make this game a happier place. But not cool.s3m... thats mine :) and the samurai pre-battle piece, thats mine too
